Boggy Creek, Whitfield

A small creek running through forest and grazing land, gravel bed. Some erosion and siltation, and low flow and water level in summer. Most of the riparian vegetation has been removed. Cannot sustain a great deal of angling pressure because it is a small stream. Contains brown trout to 550g, occasionally 1.4 kg, some small river blackfish, and small redfin in the lower reaches. Best fishing is from the first autumn rains to early summer. Last stocked with trout by Department in 1969.
