Campaspe River Basin

A long narrow basin with one major river, the Campaspe, draining into the Murray River. The main angling waters are several large reservoirs in the southern half containing redfin and brown trout. Rainbow trout are less common and rarely reach the same size as brown trout. The best trout water is Malmsbury Reservoir.

Every fish was a legal size, unfortunately there were a few carp. this location is easy to get to and only metres from the dirt road 'scenic drive', fish were biting on scrub worms.
