Mitta Mitta River Basin
Cobungra. River, Anglers Rest
Flows through forested mountains, gravel bed. Accessible by 4WD
vehicle or from the Omeo Highway. Because of access limitations the
stream is not being exploited to its full potential. Carries
abundant brown trout to 800g (some of which are four-year-olds),
some rainbow trout to 200g, numerous river blackfish to 80g, and a
few small redfin. Last stocked with trout by the Department in 1978.
Principal access is at Anglers Rest (Blue Duck).
