Gaffneys Creek, Woods Point

Not shown on the map. Located on the Woods Point Road near Knockwood. A small tributary of the Goulburn River subject to wide fluctuations in water level and flow, and an important trout nursery stream for the Goulburn River above Lake Eildon. High mercury levels present in the fish because of past gold mining activities. Contains brown trout and rainbow trout to 250g, numerous river blackfish to 100g, and redfin.
