Mitta Mitta River Basin
Gibbo River, Benambra
Flows through forested mountains, gravel bed. Lower reaches
inundated by Lake Dartmouth,
now known as the Gibbo Arm. The river carries numerous brown trout,
average 200g maximum 1 kg, some rainbow trout to 200g and river
blackfish to 60g. Good number of carp to 10 kg. Last stocked with
trout by the Department in 1976.
