Gibbo River, Benambra

Flows through forested mountains, gravel bed. Lower reaches inundated by Lake Dartmouth, now known as the Gibbo Arm. The river carries numerous brown trout, average 200g maximum 1 kg, some rainbow trout to 200g and river blackfish to 60g. Good number of carp to 10 kg. Last stocked with trout by the Department in 1976.
