Jacksons Creek, Sunbury
Flows through grazing land, boulder, rock, mud and gravel bottom.
Catchment is highly modified. Water level and flow vary markedly,
seasonally and yearly. The water is often turbid. Much of the stream
is some distance from any road. Considerable sections of stream bank
are private property. Upper stream section contains brown trout to
700g, small redfin, and eels, while the lower stream section also
contains tench to 1.2 kg, with abundant small tench, also redfin,
brown trout and eels. Stocked regularly with brown trout by the
Department at Holden Bridge.
