Kings Billabong, Mildura
A 40 ha storage water for irrigation with the level maintained by
pumping from the Murray River. Surrounded by state forest and
orchards, mud bottom. Netting prohibited. Carries mainly redfin to
1. 3 kg, carp and catfish, also golden perch, silver perch, bony
bream and goldfish, A popular fishing area with good catches of
catfish and redfin at times. Best bait for catfish is worms and for
redfin are shrimps, yabbies, spinners and lures. Best fishing times
are usually late evening and early morning. A boat is an advantage
but not essential.
