Laanecoorie Reservoir to Bridgewater
Flows through grazing land, pebble and sand bed. Access is
generally difficult as the river runs through private property with
few public tracks. Contains carp, tench, golden perch, silver perch,
brown trout, some Murray cod, and redfin which at times provide very
good angling between Laanecoorie Weir and Laanecoorie Township. Some
improvement in golden perch numbers and fishing success has resulted
from several years stocking with that species at Bridgewater. Weir
(at Bridgewater) contains redfin to 1 kg, tench to 1.6 kg, carp to
3.2 kg, and some golden perch. Last stocked with trout in 1975.
