Livingstone Creek, Omeo

A very shallow creek, rising in forested country and flowing through grazing land, gravel bed. Bad erosion and siltation, particularly in the lower reaches. Reasonable water for limited trout fishing in the headwaters but rapidly deteriorates above and below Omeo where the stream is badly silted. Recedes to a series of pools in the lower reaches in summer when conditions are marginal for trout. Contains small brown trout to 400g in the flowing sections which provide limited fishing, but larger fish are known to be in the pools. Headwaters provide limited fishing, due to poor accessibility. Last stocked with trout by the Department in 1976.
