Morses Creek, Bright

Flows through forest, tobacco crops and grazing land, gravel bed. Joins the Ovens River at Bright. Catchment has been modified by mining and forestry and is silted in the lower reaches. Low flow and water level in summer. In a good year it is an important trout nursery stream for the Ovens River. Carries some rainbow trout to 350g in the upper reaches and brown trout to 1.4 kg nearer Bright, good numbers of small river blackfish, and some redfin in the lower reaches.
