Murrindindi River, Yea

A shallow gravel-bottomed stream rising in forest and flowing into open country. Contains brown trout average 200g, with some in the lower reaches to 700g, river blackfish, redfin and spiny freshwater crayfish. Fish are usually in good condition. Last stocked with trout in 1961. This river in conjunction with the Yea River is one of the river systems currently being stocked with Macquarie perch produced at Snobs Creek Hatchery.
