Newlyn Reservoir, Newlyn

Surface area: 73 ha
Capacity: 3,300 Ml

A deep lake, surrounded by grazing land. Domestic water supply, bank fishing only. Large fluctuations in water level. Little aquatic vegetation, and water is often very turbid. A popular fishing water mainly because of its accessibility. Contains brown trout average 1. 2 kg, maximum 2. 4 kg, redfin to 1. 5 kg and tench. Provides good fishing at times from all methods. Stocked regularly with brown trout.
