Pyramid Creek, Kerang

Fast narrow stream, flowing through open salt bush country and grazing land. Steep banks, mud bottom. Contains mostly redfin, carp, tench, some catfish, a few Murray cod, silver perch and golden perch. Best fishing places are the Milnes Bridge area and the lower reaches near Kerang. Becomes nearly dry in winter and unfishable from early May to early August. Fishing deteriorated after the river was extensively dredged in 1968.
