Mitta Mitta River Basin
Sandy Creek, Tallangatta
Runs through forest and grazing land, sand and gravel bed.
Becomes very low and warm in summer and is seldom fished. Probably
receives brown trout from Lake
Hume, some of which may stay in the
few pools in the stream. Last stocked with trout by the Department
in 1977.
Sandy Creek Reservoir
A 2 ha storage located on Sandy Creek, surrounded by forest and
grazing land. Not a popular water and has not been stocked with
trout since 1973.
