St. Georges Lake, Creswick
Also called Government Dam. A deep lake, 10 ha, surrounded by
pine plantations. It has not lived up to its anticipated trout
potential. Currently stocked annually with brown trout by the
Department, but continued stocking is under annual review. Carries
some brown trout to 800g, redfin to 900g, and abundant tench to 1
kg.
