Tullaroop Reservoir, Maryborough
Surface area: 742 ha
Capacity: 74,000 Ml
Catchment area: 743 km2
A deep RWC storage, surrounded by light forest and grazing land.
Domestic water supply with no boating, wading or camping.
Fluctuating water level. Bank fishing only is permitted. Access to
the shoreline by vehicle is poor and limited to a few points,
walking is necessary. Contains brown trout average 1 kg, maximum 3.
4 kg, abundant redfin to 1. 5 kg, tench to 2.6 kg, and goldfish.
Provides good winter fishing for brown trout. Closure to boating
limits the number of fish available to anglers and the total catch
from this water. No longer stocked by the Department with trout as
spawning facilities in the stream system abqye the reservoir are
more than adequate to maintain a trout population (last stocking was
1982).
