Wimmera River, Horsham
Recent studies of the Wimmera River have discovered that the
river is subject to high salinity at low water and during these flow
conditions contains "slugs" of saline water in larger pools. The
section of river downstream from the bridge on the Stawell-Marnoo
Road to Lake Hindmarsh is open to the use of a six metre bait net by
the holder of an Amateur Fishing Licence (or person otherwise
exempt).
